The Best of Nowruz Intercultural Concert 2015

The Best of the World Network attended the Nowruz Intercultural, Spring Concert organized by the Yunus Emre Institute and Türksoy, the Turkish Cultural Center in Vienna, held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in Hofburg, Michaelerkuppel 1010 Vienna. Nowroz is celebrated from Anatolia to Central Asia by many nations as the Spring Festival. This music and dance festival with 70 artists and dancers from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Russia and Moldova includes individual concerts and folk dances from these countries. Embassies of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Turkey are involved. The Director of the Yunus Emre Institute in Vienna, Mr Mevlut Bulut said: "On March 28 we invited all people to our concert to celebrate with us the feast of Easter."

Yunus Emre Institut veranstaltete Frühjahrskonzert in Hofburg - Fest der Freundschaft und des Frühlingserwachens zum 1. Mal in Wien

Yunus Emre Institut, das türkische Kulturzentrum in Wien, hat am 28. März 2015 gemeinsam mit Türksoy, der internationalen Organisation der türkischen Kultur, ein interkulturelles Fest der Freundschaft aller Völker der Welt anlässlich des Nowroz-Fests veranstaltet. Nowroz wird von Anatolien bis Mittelasien von vielen Völkern als Neu- oder Frühjahrsfest gefeiert. Das Nowroz-Konzert mit 80 KünstlerInnen und TänzerInnen aus Aserbaidschan, Kasachstan, Kirgisien, Usbekistan, Turkmenistan, Türkei, Russische Föderation und Moldawien umfasste einzelne Konzerte und Volkstänze aus diesen Ländern. Der Veranstaltung, die von den Botschaften Aserbaidschans, Kasachstans, Kirgisiens, Turkmenistans und der Türkei in Wien unterstützt wurde, wohnten rund 1200 begeisterte Zuschauer bei.

Bei seiner Begrüßungsrede vor dem Konzert sagte Prof. Dr. Hayati Develi, der Präsident des Yunus Emre Instituts, dass Nowroz ein Fest der Auferstehung und des Frühlingserwachens ist und die Erneuerung für die Welt symbolisiert. "Im April wird das Yunus Emre Institut in Wien wieder eröffnet. Dieses Kulturzentrum wird die pluralistische Stimme der Türkei und ihr kulturelles Erbe von Tausenden Jahren nach Wien übertragen und mit Österreich teilen. Es wird ein Treffpunkt für den kulturellen Austausch und für interkulturelle Kreativität." so Develi. Auch der Generalsekretär von Türksoy, Düsen Kaseinov betonte in seiner Ansprache, dass Nowroz Freundschaft, Versöhnung und Friede bedeutet und wie in allen Festen das freundschaftliche Zusammenleben stärkt.

Dieses große Frühjahrsfest mit traditioneller Musik und Volksliedern, mit bunten Kostümen und schwungvollen Tänzen vom Balkan bis Mittelasien wurde in dieser Form zum ersten Mal in Wien organisiert. Unter den eingeladenen Gästen waren u.a. Botschafter der sechs Staaten in Wien, Botschafter und höhere Beamten des Österreichischen Außenministeriums und zahlreiche prominente Persönlichkeiten anwesend."

RIP, 10 April 2014

With the greatest sadness we announce that Prof. Dr. Wil Goodheer, one of our dear friends, supporters and chairman of our advisory board passed away...  Our sincere condolences to his family. The world lost one of the kindest, greatest spirits and leaders. There are no words to express our sadness. Prof. Dr. Wil, you will always stay in our hearts!!

Prof. Dr. Wil C. Goodheer was been the President of The International University since 1988 and President of the Club of Rectors since 2006. He had degrees in Communications, Business, and Christian Thought. Prof. Goodheer enjoyed traveling and research in Business Ethics and Communication, and was a frequent international lecturer on these topics.
