Hotel Cascais Mirage, Portugal - nothing but The Best!

Hotel Cascais Miragem, located in Cascais, one of the most beautiful towns on the Atlantic coast of Estoril, is the perfect choice for someone looking for a luxurious, 5* hotel, with breathtaking views either for business or pleasure. With 192 rooms, including 11 suites, 2 restaurants and 2 bars, fitness center, health & spa, 18 meeting rooms and a service of excellence it exceeds the highest expectations.
Cascais is  a cosmopolitan suburb of Lisbon, 30 kilometres west of the capital of Portugal. It is one of the richest municipalities in Portugal. Cascais, especially the Hotel Cascais Miragem was chosen to be the venue of the very first international WOW Women of Wisdom Global Leadership Conference organized by WECAI - Women in Commerce from USA in cooperation with CPL Events from Portugal, due to many reasons. Photos from the conference can be found in: The Best of WOW Women of Wisdom Conference photo album.
I was truly impressed and grateful for the warm and friendly welcome by the hosts, making my staying truly unforgettable. The hotel provides the best of luxury: outstanding hospitality, excellent service and delicious food. As you can see from my photos, there is unlimited choice of different tastes and colors for everybody, for our body and soul.
The five stars Hotel Cascais Miragem, a beach Hotel in Portugal, is a preferred location for many Kings and Aristocrats, for its beauty and excellent weather all year around. Hotel Cascais Miragem offers a wide variety of shops, business center, Spa and a Health Club with over 3000m2 with the best professionals and enjoying stunning ocean views. An additional blog article was created to summarize the highlight from this life changing conference, where I met many exceptional women and men from many countries in the world: http://thebestofvienna.blogspot.co.at/2015/02/the-best-of-wecai-wow-women-of-wisdom.html
Some facts about Cascais:

Cascais is a beautiful fisher town with a history that goes back to 650 years. With two hundred and six thousand residents, in territory of ninety square kilometers, one third of Cascais territory is a natural park. In the neighborhood of Cascais, only 20 minutes drive by car, is a magical place: UNESCO Heritage Sintra, with the beautiful and breathtaking landscape, palaces and castles.
Cascais is proud to be a land of kings and fishermen and it became famous as the "Côte d’Azur of Portugal".  We were told by Ms Catarina Marques Vieira, Vereadora - from the Council of Women in Cascais, that during the second world war, Cascais had more kings without a throne than 5-star hotels. At that time, Estoril, one part of the territory, became a melting pot that even inspired Ian Fleming, who was at that time serving in the Royal Navy in Cascais, to write his first lines of James Bond 007.

But what was the reason that brought the King to Cascais? You may think that the King wanted to live in Cascais because of the wonderful beaches or the magnificent mountains… You may think that the King moved to Cascais because Cascais has the best fish in the world, or even because of the three hundred days of sun...

Well, in fact, the King moved to Cascais because of the warm people living in Cascais. The best thing about Cascais are the warm and kind people that I personally experienced during the Women in Wisdom conference.
Cascais motto is: “the best place to live, one day, one week or the whole life!” If it was up to me, I would love to live in Cascais at least 6 months a year, at least during the winter period, escaping from the cold Vienna.
To ensure that this motto competes everyday with the big and famous cities in the world, Cascais guarantees to its inhabitants and tourists several things: such as a welfare Society, the variety of international schools for children (a choice of 12 is truly impressive) and most of all to attract talented students to study in Cascais. Cascais has now two universities and in 2017 they will have four.
To create the Best Place to live one day, one week or the whole life, Cascais continues to promote their cultural heritage and tourism. Cascais pays a lot of attention to promoting their arts, museums, tourism at major national and international events. Cascais was already a host of WCT world championship in surf, the global champions tour on horse jumping, the biggest competitions in sailing (like in the past Americas Cup World Series),  Major music events, and of course: golf.
In Cascais the municipality and the government does everything to create jobs: that is the reason why they created an incubator called DNA Cascais, responsible for the creation of more than 240 companies, that generated more than 663 initial jobs (1.250 till now) and an investment of more than 26,4 M euros. We had a great pleasure to receive a briefing and presentation on DNA Cascais that was truly impressive. Photos can be seen in The Best of the World Network Picasa albums.

Apart from that, Cascais is developing a blue strategy for the municipality, working together with the government, private companies and researchers to create more jobs.

In Cascais, there is no place for large factories and this is one of the great advantages of living or visiting Cascais - the pure air, clean beaches and the minimum pollution. For the third consecutive year, despite of the world economic crisis, Cascais is still improving and attracting the large number of tourists: more than 1.2 Million in the past year.
A special message for everyone who is looking for a magic place to live or visit: Cascais is a real paradise on earth with friendly and warm people, cultural heritage and museums, crystal clear sea water and clean beaches, the fresh fish, the magic castles and the sunny weather all year round.
One of my tourist highlights was The Best of Sintra - the magic place in the photos above and the spontaneous visit to the local church in Cascais.
I will return again to Cascais: the Best Place to live one day, one week or the whole life.
