Margarete Prinzhorn Fashion Museum opened on 26 September 2016 in the heart of Vienna in honor of the remarkable Austrian socialite lady Margarete Prinzhorn († 21. July 2014) and Prof. Alfred (Fred) Adlmüller († 26. September 1989) on the 27th memorial-day of the designer's death. During an exclusive VIP opening, the private haute-couture collection was shown and can be hired for exclusive fashion shows in Austria and abroad. The late Margarete Prinzhorn Anger was famous for her beauty and social events. She was Miss Austria 1956, Wine Knight (golden medal cross wearer) and one of the clients of Prof. Adlmüller.
Among Prof. Adlmüller's clients also count: Prof. Lotte Tobisch, Romy Schneider, Eva Bartok, Zarah Leander, Hildegard Knef, Soraya Begum, Queen Margrethe of Denmark and Queen Frederica of Greece.

Prof. Fred Adlmüller was one of the most famous Austrian-German haute-couture fashion designers, known for his breathtaking dresses for numerous local and international stars including the royal families. He designed costumes for the Vienna State Opera between 1947 to 1951 and led the masterclass for fashion as a professor at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna between 1973 and 1979. For his outstanding services he received the Golden Medal award from the Republic of Austria and the Golden Medal of Honor of the City of Vienna. Students of the University of Applied Arts in Vienna can apply for the Fred Adlmüller scholarship approved by the Foundation Commission. During Universal Exposition in Brussels in 1958 he also received the Grand Prix for the most beautiful hostess gown.

Margarete Prinzhorn Fashion Museum collection consists of 15 haute-couture designs made between 1960-1980s by Prof. Fred Adlmüller. These unique, highly valuable designs with hand-made embroidery are not available for sale. However, we are offering:
Exclusive haute-couture fashion shows at our venue in Paniglgasse 18-20, 1040 Vienna or other locations in Austria and abroad.
Our fashion show can be hired during the balls, galas, birthday parties, business presentations or diplomatic receptions where Austrian cultural heritage can be presented at its best. In cooperation with tailors and fashion schools, we can create new designs, inspired by the work of Prof. Adlmüller. Tailor-made offers can be provided upon request.
